Andriy Ozeychuk, Rauta CEO, commented on the sandwich panels market development trends in Ukraine for the Capital Construction magazine.
According to the Rauta CEO, in 2016 the ratio of imported and domestic sandwich panels on the Ukrainian market was about 50/50, and in 2017 the share of Ukrainian producers increased to 55%.
At the same time, Andriy Ozeychuk noted that competition differs in different segments of the domestic sandwich panels market. In the budget products segment (at a price up to 20 Euro/m2), competition is most noticeable, since brands are poorly differentiated, and the panels have approximately the same characteristics. In the middle price segment (at a price up to 30 Euro/m2), the competition is also pronounced, but at the same time such products are significantly different in aesthetic and technical characteristics. And in the segment of the highest quality sandwich panels in Ukraine, only two brands are represented – Kingspan and Ruukki.
“The key buyers of sandwich panels in Ukraine in 2017 are companies wich are building industrial, commercial and warehouses premises,” said Andriy Ozeychuk. “Despite the tendency to save construction budgets, customers who build for their own usage, choose not the cheapest, but the most high-quality and energy-efficient sandwich panels, which in future will reduce the cost of operating the facility up to -30%.”
According to the expert, in the future demand for high-quality construction solutions in Ukraine will increase, therefore, Rauta offers its customers only the best Ruukki products and innovations for the construction of residential and commercial buildings.
