1The Global Warming Potential (GWP) of facade cladding materials allows architects and construction investors to control the environmental products characteristics and influence the projects sustainability increase.
Using GWP, architects have the opportunity to compare the environmental friendliness of materials used in the project and determine their impact on climate change as part of the life cycle assessment of the building.
“The GWP allows construction investors to make a conscious choice in favor of the most environmentally friendly materials and receive more points during building certification according to the LEED and BREEAM environmental systems,” said Andriy Ozeychuk, CEO of Rauta.
The global warming potential parameter, indicated in kg CO2 eq./m2, can be found on the pages of relevant product for Ruukki ventilated facades.
