Rauta has introduced a new technology for the sandwich panel fire-resistant walls construction, which provides mechanical fire resistance of the structure up to EI-M 120.
Ruukki Firewall fire partitions are based on Ruukki mineral wool sandwich panels with fire resistance EI 240. Additional fire protection is provided by sealing all joints with mineral wool inserts, using flashings with fire-resistant seals and strengthened fastening.
The Ruukki Firewall system is available in thicknesses 200 and 230 mm and provides mechanical fire resistance EI-M 90 up to 7.5 m span and EI-M 120 up to 6 m span.
“The Ruukki Firewall is designed to be quick and easy to install, making it a more cost-effective solution than traditional fire barrier construction methods,” said Andriy Ozeychuk, Rauta Director. “In addition to high fire resistance, this structure is impact resistant, which allows it to be used both for external walls and internal partitions.”
Ruukki Firewall is suitable for use with steel, concrete and timber framed buildings. The solution is intended for real estate objects with high requirements for the strength of fire partitions, in cases where buildings are located close to each other, as well as for objects with a high fire load, for example, combustible materials warehouses, etc.
