The company offers facade and roofing materials made of steel, produced without the use of fossil fuels.
The first products made of “green” steel will be delivered to customers who adhere to sustainable, environmentally-oriented business development, already in the 3rd quarter of 2023. The new sandwich panels, facade cladding and roofing materials will be manufactured at Ruukki’s factories in Finland, Estonia and Sweden.
CO2 emissions arising at the production stage are minimized due to the use of environmentally friendly energy, as well as the choice of materials and logistics with the least possible impact on the environment.
“The use of «green» steel products is an important step to reduce the impact of the construction industry on the environment, which allows customers to significantly reduce the carbon footprint of buildings and make them more attractive for investment,” – Andriy Ozeychuk, Rauta director. – We expect that, following the EU countries, Ukrainian developers will be able to use “green” cladding solutions in their projects in the near future.”
According to Ruukki’s environmental development concept, developed in 2019, the company aims to reduce the use of fossil fuels in its operations by 25% by 2026.
