The intelligent Ruukki Roof Sensor system saves money by clearing snow only when it is needed.
Ruukki Roof Sensors monitor the snow load level on the roof of a building and transmit data it the real-time to the information system. The program captures load changes and informs about the need to clear snow for safety reasons. The user has the possibility to track over time the load levels on detailed graphs. Additionally, ceiling lights indicate the level of snow load.
“The new solution protects people in the building and, in addition to saving money on snow removal, it ensures safety for the property owner, designer and safety manager,” – said Andriy Ozeychuk, Rauta director. – “Smart Roof is the first innovation in the Ruukki Sensor Network integrated system, which in the future will offer more and more digital solutions such as monitoring the loads on the frame, the state of building elements, the humidity of building envelope structures, etc.”
The technology is applicable for monitoring the snow load on the roof of industrial, commercial and public buildings. It is worth to note that Ruukki Roof Sensor is suitable not only for new buildings, but also for all existing real estate objects built with Ruukki load-bearing sheets, including for insulated roofs.
