1In contrast to the walls construction according to the traditional technology of piece materials, in which the masonry is places on the floor slab, the sandwich panels external walls are placed outside the load-bearing frame.
The new solution in high-rise construction allows a developer to obtain a significant increase in the realizable area on each floor of the building.
“As the example of a 17-story residential building in Kyiv, our calculations show that the use of sandwich panels instead of traditional light concrete masonry with mineral wool insulation allows a developer to receive about 11% additional profit,” – said Andriy Ozeychuk, Rauta director.
Using sandwich panels in high-rise construction is a new solution for Ukraine, while in the world this technology has proven to be very effective.
