1Rauta CEO Andriy Ozeychuk told to the construction magazine Capital Construction about the situation on the Ukrainian LGSF market, as well as its trends and prospects.
According to the head of Rauta, the total volume of the steel market with GI coating in the period 2015-2018 increased from 240 to 320 th. tons. At the same time, the market volume of LGSF for construction purposes (steel frames including pre-fabricated buildings) averaged about 3 thousand tons per year. During the same period segment of LGSF profiles for solar power plants has grown from 1 to 5 th. tons.
“Today LGSF market consists of companies that produce mostly components, although competition in the segment is quite low since there are few companies offering complete solutions, including design, production and installation,” said Andriy Ozeychuk. “And the key reason for the low consumption of LGSF in construction is the weak popularization of technology among the end users and low productivity.”
It should be noted that LGSF is effective for building dairy farms as a prefabricated buildings, as well as commercial and residential premises. At the same time LGSF technology allows to use both sandwich panels and rain-screen panels as a cladding.
