On June 13, during the USCC Architectural Club, Rauta Director Andriy Ozeychuk shared his experience in the use of steel frame and facade solutions during the reconstruction of the AB InBev brewery in Chernigiv and the construction of a residential building in Yuzhnoukrainsk.
According to the Rauta director, during the reconstruction of the Chernigov brewery steel solutions were applied in several directions: the construction of the new warehouse with steel structures, the reconstruction of the facades of the production building with the arrangement of a ventilated facade, cladding of the ceiling of the malt shop with radius trapezoidal profiles, and the thermosanation of the cleaning station with energy-saving sandwich panels. The use of trapezoidal profiles with Hiarc coating during the reconstruction of the malt shop allowed to prevent the appearance of mold and significantly improve the hygiene of the production process.
In his presentation, Andriy Ozeychuk also showed how, with the help of light gauged steel frame, was built up a new level in a five-story residential building. The low weight of load-bearing and cladding steel structures made it possible to expand the residential area of the house by 20% without strengthening the existing structure and the need to resettle the tenants.
“Steel solutions are indispensable in the reconstruction of commercial and residential facilities, because they allow to solve quickly and effectively challenges of expanding the useful area and improving the energy efficiency of buildings. At the same time, a well-planned project, along with the use of advanced facade and frame solutions, allow to carry out the process of reconstruction without the need to stop building operation,” – concluded Andriy Ozeychuk.
