Flashings with hidden fasteners are intended for arranging a vertical joint of a wall made of sandwich panels with horizontal installation.

Flashing with invisible fastening consists of two parts: the bottom flashing EA1JVB4, which is attached directly to the sandwich panels facing, and the decorative flashing EA1JVI.

The following steps should be taken to install the flashing with an invisible fasteners:

1. Pre-drill Ø28 mm holes for recessed washers of fasteners. The distance from the edge to the center of the hole should be 30 mm.
Note! Be especially careful when drilling, as the drill bit easily “cuts” into the steel sheet.

2. Prepare the fastener in such a way that the head of the screw goes inside the washer.

3. Tighten the screws and provide tension so that the screw head is hidden in the depth of the washer.
Apply sealant to the horizontal joint of the sandwich panels in an area corresponding to the width of the vertical seal.
On the surface of the sandwich panel, draw a vertical line of the edge of the sealing butyl tape.
Note! Pay special attention to the fact that the horizontal joint of the sandwich panels must be on the same line on both sides of the joint.

4. Carefully attach the sealing butyl tape to the dry and clean surface of the sandwich panel joint. Make sure the tape is tight and even against the surface of the sandwich panels.
In winter keep the tape warm, and in severe frosts pre-heat it when pasting, for example, with a construction dryer.

5. Attach the lower parts of the vertical flashing to the sandwich panels surface using screws located in the grooves. The flashing is installed in the middle of the joint of the panels.
Install the rest of the flashing in the same way.

6. Attach the vacuum holders to the surface of the decorative vertical flashing and apply sealant in strips in the rolling areas on the back surface of the seal.

7. Carefully slide the decorative flashing onto the bottom flashing from above, starting from the bottom of the wall.
It is recommended to use vacuum holders with suction cups for a tight fit of the decorative flashing.
Installation of decorative flashing can be facilitated by wetting the strip of sealant with a weak soapy solution (pH 6-8) to ensure better sliding.
Once the decorative flashing is placed in the design position, attach it from one corner of the top edge to the surface of the sandwich panel with a screw driven through the pre-drilled hole. In the same way install the following decorative flashing on top.

8. Make sure that all seals are installed vertically.
