In an interview to the portal, the CEO of Rauta spoke about changes in demand, prices, challenges and prospects in the Ukrainian construction market, as well as Rauta plans for 2025.
According to the expert, in 2024, demand in the Ukrainian construction market remained at a consistently low level, and the market volume in euro increased by 9.5% compared to 2023 and amounted to about €4.6 billion. “With positive growth dynamics, the Ukrainian construction market will be able to reach the 2021 level in 4-5 years,” said Andriy Ozeychuk.
The Rauta CEO also said that over the period from 2019 to 2024, the cost of construction in Ukraine doubled. At the same time, over the past year, the cost of construction materials and services has increased by approximately 24%.
According to Andriy Ozeychuk, on average, from 2022 to 2024, salaries in the construction industry grew by 20% annually, and with each year of a full-scale war, the shortage of qualified specialists is increasingly felt. Revealing plans for 2025, the Rauta CEO said that “the company plans to increase quantity of Ruukki sandwich panel deliveries by optimizing cost, as well as launch a new brand of European-made sandwich panels in the middle-price segment.”
