Andriy Ozeychuk told about new technologies of commercial buildings re-concept

According to the speaker, modern construction solutions allow to utilize several ways to enhance the value of buildings during modernization: changing appearance with modern facade solutions (steel facade cassettes and lamellas, Corten steel, etc.), as well as improving energy efficiency.

The most appropriate way to reduce operating cost of commercial building is to use energy saving air-tight sandwich panels, alternative energy sources (solar panels and collectors), as well as efficient heating, air conditioning and ventilation systems.

In his presentation Andriy Ozeychuk shared an example of improving the energy efficiency of an industrial building using advanced Ruukki solutions. Thus, renovation of a 5,000 m² facility using Ruukki’s energy-saving air-tight sandwich panels reduced the building energy consumption by 84 kWh/m²*year, which saved about € 32,000/year or -30% compared to the operation costs before reconstruction. At the same time, the modernization has improved the energy efficiency class of the building from D to C level.
