1On June 4, the CEO of Rauta took part in a panel discussion of the Ukrainian Construction Congress dedicated to increasing local production of building materials.
The participants of the discussion were Kostyantyn Saliy, president of the Union of Building Materials Producers; Andriy Ozeychuk, CEO of Rauta; Danylo Tymchak, Ukrcement department of scientific and technical information engineer.
According to the CEO of Rauta, today there are many promising segments for the business development of building materials production that are not manufactured in Ukraine or are produced in limited quantities: glass, insulation, fixing elements, membranes, etc.
“The state must fight corruption and support business development by providing preferences for land lease, creating tax holidays, etc.,” Andriy Ozeychuk noted. “Foreign companies should be actively involved in creating production facilities in Ukraine, because for some types of products, for example, sandwich panels, the launch of such production can provide consumers with higher-quality products at an affordable price.”
